Frank M. Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University was arrested and charged with offering his adopted five year old son for sex acts.Mike S. Adams on Townhall.com brought this one to light. Reported by the Associated Press.
Here's another Duke University rape and controversy in the making. Frank M. Lombard, associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University was arrested and charged with offering his adopted five year old son for sex acts.
The arrest warrant states that a person, later identified as Lombard, used video chat on the internet to perfom sex acts on a child under the age of ten. The child was later identified as one of two adopted children of Lombard. The complaint says Lombard's chat room ID lists him as "perv dad for fun."
The warrant states that an astute police detective contacted Lombard through Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Lombard admitted performing sexual acts on his adopted five year old son. He wrote that he would drug the boy with Benadryl before molesting him. He admitted that he waited to molest the boy until his partner was out of town.
The warrant continues describing the next day, when Lombard offered his five year old to the detective to perform sex acts on him. The detective said he lived out of state, making the solicitation a federal offense.
OK, those are the particulars of the warrant against Frank Lombard.
Interestingly, the AP story neglected to mention that the molested child is black. In fact, both of Lombard's adopted children are black. As the warrant implies, both children were molested. The AP story also neglected to mention that Lombard and his partner are homosexuals raising adopted children.
As Mike Adams points out, mentioning those two facts might hurt the cause of homosexual civil rights and homosexual adoption. So, of course, those little details are left out of this sordid case.
After Mike Adams wrote his article, I decided, as he did, that these details need to come to light. As he states:
I believe that certain coalitions must be broken. And certain movements must be harmed. Let the political fallout begin. (Townhall.com)Lombard, if convicted, faces 20 years in prison. I'm certain many of you will agree that time served is too good for the likes of Frank Lombard.

There are possibly abusers lurking in all sorts of family situations but when you have two men living together who suffer from sexual problems it is crazy to let them adopt children.
totally agree with SH.
This just makes me feel sick. Those poor boys are going to have all kinds of psychological problems when they grow up.
I would say you have to be kidding, but of course you are not. On a better note, I have give you the Honest Scrap award. For more details, see http://bedlamorparnassus.blogspot.com/2009/06/blog-award.html.
A friend of mine, Black N Right at http://ablackconservativedigest.ning.com/ added this comment. I put it here with permission:
News like this breaks my heart. I was adopted by a White couple myself. But I was given a mother and a father. I may have been a social experiment in terms of color but not in terms of deviant lifestyles. My adopted mother became a lesbian later in life, but I am eternally grateful she waited until I was adult before pursuing that choice. My life was confusing enough. Why didn't my birth mother love me? Why did she give me away? Was I bad baby? When you are a child you don't understand. I loved my adopted parents but I missed my birth family. I stopped talking about her and asking questions about her because I felt I was being disloyal to my family. I don't know if it did or not but I felt like I was hurting my mother just by asking about her.
I preface with that so you know I have a true knowledge of what I am talking about. Growing up as an adopted child is confusing enough, throwing homosexuality into the mix only further exacerbates that. This angers to me no end because once again Black children are the guinea pigs for liberal social engineering! I am sick of Black children being the ones to pay the price for liberal madness. This man is a monster and deserves to be hung from the highest tree for what he did to an innocent child! I am sick of liberals looking at Blacks as some commodity they can use and abuse and not as human beings! I am lucky, I had wonderful parents who truly loved me. I had a mother that rearranged her life to take care of me when I had cancer. I had a father who made me smile. I had a brother who was my protector. I had another brother who was my best friend. I had a sister who took care of me when I was first adopted. I had a real family! But what is going on now is unforgivable! It is no longer about the best interest of the children but the best interest of the adults. The whole thing is screwed up! And I am sick of my people being destroyed through abortion, AIDS and now we can add homosexual adoption to the list!
It is a dangerous social experiment that is going on here.
the internet is a dangerous social experiment.
thanks for posting this. i myself have just posted a request for people to write, call their senators and congresspersons to have them support the Adam Walsh Act that would enforce that every sex offender in everystate must register in every state they reside in at any time. i am sorry i am not as savy as you all with this blogging internet stuff, so you can go to my page and look at the post titled Saddle Up for the info. on it.
http//www.marco4bella.blogspot.com
that being said, i also wish to be able to share this story you posted and put a link to you, but i am at a loss as to how to do that. i like that you pointed out all the important details that were conveinetly left out of the AP report.
sorry, the link didn't work right. here it is,
http://www.marco4bella.blogspot.com
If you consult the statistics, gay people are NOT more likely to be pedophiles than straight people. It is not logical therefore to view this one case (horrifying as it is) as evidence that adoption by homosexual couples places children at risk of abuse - just like it wouldn't be logical to view the statistics on straight perpetrators of child abuse and to conclude that all adoption puts children at risk.
or does it mention that the man lives with another man.
Joie: Thanks for the link and the respond to child abuse. I've no doubt Lombard will remain in the sex offender category throughout his life. I hadn't realized that the national registry was lagging.
This sick animal needs to be shot.
Anon:
This man needs to be made an example of the biased mainstream media who will ignore such an atrocity merely because the guy is homosexual or because the children are black. Gay activists used and still use the Matthew Shepard tragedy as their poster boy for "Christian" intolerance, even though the facts of the case show the two whacks who killed him were anything but. Lombard will be made an example of. As Adams puts it - "Let the political fallout begin."
I would enjoy watching this sick monster be tortured and then set on fire.
I'm pretty sure Lombard will find justice served in prison. His kind of damage drives many to illegal lifestyles. Even prisoners with a harsh moral code have no tolerance for child molesters. Prison is too kind for a child molester. That a musician is revered despite being a child molester sums up America today.
What is the matter with you people? You have got to be the most ignorant people in this country to equate homosexuality with pedophilia.
Not every doctor favors abortion. Islam does not equal terrorism. Christianity does not equal ignorance. Stop judging a group of people by the actions of a few. Some of you should be ashmed of doing this.
What this guy did is beyond words. He needs to be castrated and turned into an eunuch. But judging millions of decent people by the actions of a few should be the definition of ignorance and bigotry.
And to Euripides, give me a break. You should be proud of your mother. She denied her feelings her entire life, she raised a kid, loved a husband as much she could, and still managed to find the time to try and be truly haappy.
This is coming from a father of five. Married for 38 years. And a proud father of a gay son and gay granddaugther. And let me tell you, I wouldn't change my family for anything in this world.
Homosexuality and pedophilia are similar in that they are both sexual disorders. People who experience a same sex attraction and a child sexual attraction need help. Society has an obligation to help these people.
Anon:
May I point out that gay activists set the ground rules for associating the individual with the group? I'm just playing by the same rules that gay activists are fond of doing. Frank Lombard has filled in the rest with his actions. I'm counting on the political fallout to continue.
However, in this post, I merely point out that this man and the fact that he was a homosexual and had adopted black children was not mentioned in the mainstream media because of their bias. It's the media and its incessant gay activism that bothers me. Behind that, is the gay activist agenda which attempts to foist homosexuality as a special status on the rest of the world, as if that were a civil or even a fundamental right. As I've written before, the "gay rights" movement has nothing in common with the civil rights movement. Also note Black N Right's comment above.
I have absolutely no idea what my mother has to do with any of this.
read this and became sick.
since there is no punishment too great for this crime and these sick people continue to abuse, i find solace in knowing that once word gets out in the prison system of his crime, he will be raped brutally by his fellow inmates and understand AIDS/HIV firsthand.
I am pretty hurt by this because I am a) black b) a gay rights supporter c) know so many people who have been through the foster care system.
This situation could not have been prevented. This guy has a master's degree and a high ranking job, in this world--this is what makes decent people decent. This man is not decent, obviously...but to the thinking of people, "this poor black kid has a chance with these nice educated white people". The adoptive parents are seen as superior to the child, so they count this kid as lucky. And then this happens! Straight people molest children all the time. But we have such limited examples of gay adoption...this is my FIRST example of gay adoption and I am absolutely frazzled. Frazzled!
The black thing comes in because there was another case of white people molesting a black child and killing him. The Christopher Barrios case, which was equally gross if not worse. It just affirms to me that black children are throw aways and it makes me sick. Rape them, beat them, they are not the future and no one cares.
The account of Sodom and Gomorrah are recorded for a reason. If we do not learn from the mistakes of the past we are doomed to repeat them.
I am not sure if same sex couples should adopt children, and this case will not bring more light to it for me. There are so many cases of straight parents where one or both are malesting their own or adopted children. If you live the "normal" life, you don't hear in most cases what is going on in some of the families. There are sick bastards gay or straight...
Oh, I get it, so every time a straight conservative, barron, married, Christian couple abusses their adopted childern, we should all agree that THEY should also not be allowed to raise children? Logic, my frineds, I know it can be challenging, but try to use it. No, I don't think information should be withheld, and yes, it is an appallingly hianious crime that should stopped, where ever it accure, but please don't twist this sad act into a bigatry and shift the spot light from child abuse, where it should be, to a knee jerk conservative agenda...
Anon: Gay activist have been knee-jerking around with religion and Christianity for 30 years, just like you implied in your own comments. Gay activists do this by design in order to promote homosexuality as a normative aspect of society.
You also drew conclusions to my post that are not there. I merely wondered why the mainstream media neglected to mention that Lombard was homosexual and that the children were black. You drew your own conclusions from there - an interesting leap from your own mind, especially the leap to compare Christians.
Do we all remember Mark Sanford? Do we remember how the news media harped all over the story, merely because the guy was a Republican? The media has a bias that rubs raw against conservatism and conservative ideals. My agenda, if you will, is to bring this to light and let people judge for themselves.
Pray that the child receives the love and support he will need to grow up strong and live in peace.
My name is Keith Smith. I was abducted, beaten and raped by a stranger. It wasn't a neighbor, a coach, a relative, a family friend or teacher. It was a recidivist pedophile predator who spent time in prison for previous sex crimes; an animal hunting for victims in the quiet suburbs of Lincoln, Rhode Island.
I was able to identify the guy and the car he was driving. He was arrested and indicted but never went to trial. His trial never took place because he was brutally beaten to death in Providence before his court date. 34 years later, no one has ever been charged with the crime.
In the time between the night of my assault and the night he was murdered, I lived in fear. I was afraid he was still around town. Afraid he was looking for me. Afraid he would track me down and kill me. The fear didn’t go away when he was murdered. Although he was no longer a threat, the simple life and innocence of a 14-year-old boy was gone forever. Carefree childhood thoughts replaced with the unrelenting realization that my world wasn’t a safe place. My peace shattered by a horrific criminal act of sexual violence.
Over the past 34 years, I’ve been haunted by horrible, recurring memories of what he did to me. He visits me in my sleep. There have been dreams–nightmares actually–dozens of them, sweat inducing, yelling-in-my-sleep nightmares filled with images and emotions as real as they were when it actually happened. It doesn’t get easier over time. Long dead, he still visits me, silently sneaking up from out of nowhere when I least expect it. From the grave, he sits by my side on the couch every time the evening news reports a child abduction or sex crime. I don’t watch America’s Most Wanted or Law and Order SVU, because the stories are a catalyst, triggering long suppressed emotions, feelings, memories, fear and horror. Real life horror stories rip painful suppressed memories out from where they hide, from that recessed place in my brain that stores dark, dangerous, horrible memories. It happened when William Bonin confessed to abducting, raping and murdering 14 boys in California; when Jesse Timmendequas raped and murdered Megan Kanka in New Jersey; when Ben Ownby, missing for four days, and Shawn Hornbeck, missing for four years, were recovered in Missouri.
Despite what happened that night and the constant reminders that continue to haunt me years later, I wouldn’t change what happened. The animal that attacked me was a serial predator, a violent pedophile trolling my neighborhood in Lincoln, Rhode Island looking for young boys. He beat me, raped me, and I stayed alive. I lived to see him arrested, indicted and murdered. It might not have turned out this way if he had grabbed one of my friends or another kid from my neighborhood. Perhaps he’d still be alive. Perhaps there would be dozens of more victims and perhaps he would have progressed to the point of silencing his victims by murdering them.
Out of fear, shame and guilt, I’ve been silent for over three decades, not sharing with anyone the story of what happened to me. No more. The silence has to end. What happened to me wasn't my fault. The fear, the shame, the guilt have to go. It’s time to stop keeping this secret from the people closest to me, people I care about, people I love, my long-time friends and my family. It’s time to speak out to raise public awareness of male sexual assault, to let other survivors know that they’re not alone and to help survivors of rape and violent crime understand that the emotion, fear and memories that may still haunt them are not uncommon to those of us who have shared a similar experience.
My novel, Men in My Town, was inspired by these actual events. Men in My Town is available now at www.Amazon.com
For those who suffer in silence, I hope my story brings some comfort, strength, peace and hope.

I am a mother of an 8 yr old son, with one more boy on the way. These stories are becoming way too frequent and just shatter my heart. The vitims and thier families OMG... I just pray to never know the pain they will endure forever because of these monsters!!! What will we do as a society to protect our children???
20 YEARS SEEMS LIKE A SLAP ON THE WRIST TO ME!!!
I read he had a partner which is why I googled Frank M Lombard... Crossing this site!!! Why is this not in the media!?! To the people who are commenting the fact he was a gay man is not the issue... WHAT!?! Of course it is an issue!!! The child being black... Of course is an issue!!! You could never look that baby in his eyes and say the things that have so bodly been written here! Same sex adoption; who knows what harm or what good can come of it??? But why use innocent children to "see what happens"?
To each his own, live your life however makes you happy. Believe in what you will, only one knows what your fate will be,and it is certainly no one here...
To Keith Smith; Bless you!!!
TAKE CARE OF OUR CHILDREN! JUSTICE NEVER SEEMS TO BE SERVED WHEN IT COMES TO THEM!!!! THEY CERTAINLY CAN'T DEFEND THEMSELVES!!!
The problem with Lombard isn't that he's gay, its that he is from the South. Southerners are far more likely to abuse children and more Southerners abuse children than gays. Please God, stop allowing Southerners to adopt children!!!
HAHAHAHAHA good one Shadrach.
I find it interesting that everyone is up in arms over the fact that the AP did not report that the man is gay or that the child is black. The BIGGEST hole in the story has no political agenda -- the most important fact missing is that ANOTHER child was molested!
People - my son was molested by a preschool teacher. Please understand that black, white, adopted, poor, rich, educated, big family, small family, religious...it doesn't matter. Kids are being sexually assaulted because our justice system allows people to get away with it and our mental health care system in in shambles. If you know anything about sexual crimes committed against children, you know that it can happen to any child by any sick person. Finger-pointing at different groups isn't going to help these kids.
Sounds like another good right wing christian conservative
For every gay child molester story i can find you 10 strait child molesters stories or strait parents that put there children in microwave ovens. or that strait couple last year that kept there kids in CAGES!. Its all statistics. You are going to get that Despicable slim minority in any demographic. This man Gay or Strait deserves the death penalty. Not 20 years in prison.
Deleted Anon: Sorry, I won't have a link to pornography on my site, even if the porn is sold by Amazon.com.
Shadrach: Nice try to confuse identification with a location and culture with a sexual practice. Self-definition is a little more complex than how a person likes to perform sex.
Neither the race of the boy who was victimized nor the race or sexual orientation of the perpetrator are at all relevant to this case. None of these things explain why this man is a sexual predator. Contrary to an earlier rather hysterical post, black children are not the only ones being thrown away. Over the past month, we have seen 4 or 5 high profile examples of white children being abused or killed by friends or family. This is not about race or cross racial adoption or gay adoption. This is about the sexual abuse of a child by his parent. Sadly, it happens every day. Sexual abuse of children by heterosexual friends or relations is so common that whenever child abuse is suspected, family members are always the first people considered as possible perpetrators.
What this monster did to this child is unthinkable. He should be shot. But the use of this crime to justify the bigotry being expressed on this website is inexcusable. You all should be ashamed of using what happened to this child to advance your own biased agendas.

How can you preach from your high horse when the specter of Matthew Shepard hangs over the gay community as the poster child of self-indulgent whining? How come his attackers get to be vilified as examples of Christian hatred when, in fact, they were just sick whackos?
Once again, I quote Mike Adams: "I believe that certain coalitions must be broken. And certain movements must be harmed. Let the political fallout begin."
Adoption expert Carrie Craft cites the Child Welfare Information Gateway (previously National Adoption Information Clearinghouse) as stating, "A child's risk of being molested by his or her relatives' heterosexual partner is over one hundred times greater than by someone who might be identifiable as being homosexual."
The study also found that of 269 cases of child sex abuse, only two offenders were found to be gay or lesbian. That's 267 straight pedophiles, and two gay.
The American Psychological Association agrees, "Another myth about homosexuality is the mistaken belief that gay men have more of a tendency than heterosexual men to sexually molest children. There is no evidence to suggest that homosexuals molest children."
According to these reputable studies, gay men are actually less likely to molest children.
On another note, I'm astounded by all of the so-called Christians on this site responding with the desire to maim or kill. I thought yours was a religion of peace, no?
It is ignorant to imply that the reason this abuse occurred was because the adoptive parents were homosexuals. As another commenter already stated, pedophiles are adults who molest children (same or opposite sex) and is completely different from homosexuality. It is an awful thing that happened to these children, no one should have to go through it- it is horrific but, blaming a group of people with a sexual orientation (one towards other adults) is harmful.
This explains why grouping homosexuals and pedophiles/child molesters together is incorrect:
"The distinction between a victim's gender and a perpetrator's sexual orientation is important because many child molesters don't really have an adult sexual orientation. They have never developed the capacity for mature sexual relationships with other adults, either men or women. Instead, their sexual attractions focus on children – boys, girls, or children of both sexes."
And here:
"Dr. Carole Jenny and her colleagues reviewed 352 medical charts, representing all of the sexually abused children seen in the emergency room or child abuse clinic of a Denver children's hospital during a one-year period (from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992). The molester was a gay or lesbian adult in fewer than 1% in which an adult molester could be identified – only 2 of the 269 cases (Jenny et al., 1994)."
The following link also has information about the studies that were done by the Family Research Council which attempted to link homosexuality and child molestation.
http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/rainbow/html/facts_molestation.html
If this pervert was a Christian pastor, the media would be all over his hide for that fact. Why doesn't the media admit he's gay and a racist?
I don't usualy agree with Euripedes, but this guy needs to be strung up by his thumbs.
Interesting point Anon, if this guy was a Christian pastor the media would be all over him.
Why is it that the media has failed to mention that this guy is homosexual? Not only does he have a same sex attraction disorder but a child sexual attraction disorder.
I can't believe how heartless these comments are. This little boy was sexually abused. His brother was sexually abused. And all you can do is argue about whether or not homosexuality is a choice, and whether or not being gay means you're more likely to molest children? You should be ashamed of yourselves. These children are living, breathing, human beings with hopes, dreams, wants, needs. Their lives have been nothing but hell with this man.
You can quote that stupid "let the political fallout begin" bull all you want, but it doesn't excuse the callous nature with which you are treating these children, and the tragedy they've experienced in their young lives. You can try to justify your actions by pointing the finger at the conspiracy you see in the "gay rights movement," but it doesn't excuse you from responsibility for your own actions.
It's particularly irksome to me that you ignore the fact that the man hid it from his partner (whether that partner be gay or straight, we don't know), and did it when the partner was out of town. What do you make of that, eh?
My parents did to me and my brother what this one parent did to his 2 sons. All I've ever heard were excuses for them: "oh, your dad is bipolar," "oh, your mom has schizophrenia," "oh, your mom was sexually abused by her dad."
Excuses are not what this man needs. He needs to be held accountable for his actions, just like every person on this earth. And you all, giving him excuses, excusing his behavior with your personal beliefs about his sexuality, you're just as guilty as he is.
I saw yesterday how the mayor of New York tried to make himself look better for his being with prostitutes than the governor or SC for having an affair with the Argentina woman. The news media was all over Sanford's being a republican and now Spitzer has the balls to say his affair wasn't as bad. Liberals really have a skewed sense of right and wrong in the world.
My friend had adopted a black baby boy and accidently scaldede him in the bathtub. When child protective services came after her, they arrested her and accused her of being a racist and doing that on purpose. The lawyer who went after my friend in court was all over her, fairly spitting her outrage and contempt for my friend. The lawyer accused her of adopting a black boy just to abuse him. My friend, who has a husband and five othr children was convicted of a hate crime and child abuse and sent to jail.
I can't believe this man, who has so much evidenc of abuse that he'll only get 20 years in jail or less. If my friend could be accused and convicted of a hate crime, this guy should be put away for the rest of his life for such a crime.

They are wrong.
It is true that a majority of pedophiles are heterosexual men.
However, it is also true that sexual preference and pedophilia are correlated. Homosexuals are much more likely to molest children than are heterosexuals.
Additionally, within both the homosexual and heterosexual populations, males are much more likely than females to molest children.
The demographic which is most likely to molest children is homosexual men. The demographic which is least likely is heterosexual women.
For example, consider the "pedophile priest" scandal that rocked the Catholic church circa 2002-2004. According to the research of sociologist (and very liberal Catholic Priest) Andrew Greeley, about 4% of American priests sexually abused children. Of them, 81% were homosexual, and 19% were heterosexual. Yet just 16% of all Catholic priests are homosexual.
See: http://tinyurl.com/greeley-3-12-04
From those numbers we can calculate that:
20.25% of homosexual priests were sexual abusers of children, compared to less than 1% of heterosexual priests.
Homosexual priests were 22.4 times more likely than heterosexual priests to be child molesters.
(It is nevertheless also true that nearly 4/5 of homosexual priests did NOT molest children.)
Do you know what's more evil than a child-mostelor who violates his own adopted kids?
It's people who try to make a deal out of the fact that he's gay to pedal their neo-con agenda.
Straight people molest kids (including their own) all the time, but there are those who try to make it look as if this monster represents all gay people.
He's white too, maybe this reflects on all white parents? We works at Duke too, maybe all the Blue Devils are child molestors?
What a joke.
Those of you who would exploit this to push an agenda of bigotry agaisnt homosexuals are no better than Lombard himself, because your trivializing this poor child's horrible experiance.
Spencer Rocchi:
Interesting comparison with folks who don't approve of child molesters, even gay racist ones like this man. Your true colors certainly show through in your diatribe. If you have a stone to throw, you need to take a long look at your own intolerance first.
Two notes:
Look up the word neoconservative. I am not a neocon. I am a political and social conservative and a Constitutionalist. Apparently to homosexuals, this also makes me a bigot.
Trivializing this man's crime by deflecting his actions to "think of the child" does not satisfy the demands of justice nor the demands of mercy. Yes, we need to help these two abused children out but it is important and necessary to create public outrage over this type of crime so we don't become complacent in trying and convicting criminals. It is trivial to think otherwise.
Euripides,
You want to juge an entire group of people based on one man's actions.
I garantee you will site this horrible occurance as a reason no to give homosexuals equal rights to marriage and adoption.
That is not only irrational, but it is the defintion of bigotry.
I also notice how you also try to use my own vocabulary against me which is a big sign of psychological projection.
I am not "trivializing" this man's crimes.
I'm saying that's what the focus should be on.
The fact that he's gay, racist, a gemini,an aryan or w/e, should not even be part of the discussion.
Also, I have said nothing intolerant whasoever. I merely critisized the evil type of people who twist tragedy to suit their own goals.
You get defensive because you know you'll be doing it for years to come whenever anyone brings up gay rights.
PS... No I didn't spell check, lol.
You get my point.
SR:
"You want to juge an entire group of people based on one man's actions."
No, I want people to understand the consequences of promoting destructive lifestyles, sexual choices, hypersexualizing education to the point of indoctrinating our children, hijacking the civil rights movement for self-gratifying principles and how marriage and families are hurt in the process.
"I garantee you will site this horrible occurance as a reason no to give homosexuals equal rights to marriage and adoption."
No, I have given no such reasoning. I use Lombard as an example of the destructive behavior inherent in certain groups of people. You drew your own conclusion here.
"I am not "trivializing" this man's crimes.
I'm saying that's what the focus should be on."
I chose to focus on something different from you. You then called my focus trivial. Again, you drew your own conclusions of trivialization from my response.
"The fact that he's gay, racist, a gemini,an aryan or w/e, should not even be part of the discussion."
How come conservatives can't play by the same rules that the news media or gay activists play by? If he were a Christian pastor, do you think his "group status" would be left out of the news? No. It would be splashed across the country in an attempt to associate religion with pedophilia. A case in point was that idiot Sanford who ran off to have an affair. The news media was all over him and his Republican hide, merely because he was a Republican. I choose to play by the same rules set up for my by the media and gay activists. You're just sore because you're afraid this sort of thing might sully the "good" name of gay activists everywhere.
"Also, I have said nothing intolerant whasoever. I merely critisized the evil type of people who twist tragedy to suit their own goals."
This is pure hooey and you know it. It isn't intolerant to tell someone, like me, who has an opinion about an evil man and his crime that I am no better than a pedophile? What, pray tell, is your definition of intolerance if this statement of yours is not included?
"You get defensive because you know you'll be doing it for years to come whenever anyone brings up gay rights."
You have your concepts of defense and offense kind of mixed up. Take a look through my other posts. There's nothing defensive about them.
SR & E,
"No, I want people to understand the consequences of promoting destructive lifestyles, sexual choices, hypersexualizing education to the point of indoctrinating our children, hijacking the civil rights movement for self-gratifying principles and how marriage and families are hurt in the process."
Then you failed miserably, because linking this man's crimes to his homosexuality under this cause implies an assumption that all homosexuals share those things you mentioned - which just isn't true. His crimes relate only to his own sickness, and no more reflect homosexuality or any of the many "homosexual lifestyles," than the pedophilia of a white straight pastor reflects on religion, the white race, heterosexuality, or men in general.
"A case in point was that idiot Sanford ..."
Republicans set themselves up with their self-righteous claim to a monopoly on "family values," and their hypocrisy is bound to catch the media's attention. I don't know whether Lombard was a gay activist or not. If he was, then attention placed on his sexual orientation (hypocrisy) is well placed. If he downplayed it, maybe not so much. Exposing media bias, whether real or perceived, is always appropriate.
"I have said nothing intolerant whasoever. I merely critisized the evil type of people who twist tragedy to suit their own goals."
Calling people "evil" for statements made because of sincerely held and honorable political and religions beliefs IS intolerant. You can't have it both ways. If you want to ease the "bigotry" we all find so offensive, answer without rancor. It's not that hard, but it does require separating judgments and evaluations for observations. Judgments tend to be destructive; observations, instructive.
"Take a look through my other posts. There's nothing defensive about them."
Ain't that the truth! LOL.
Because of a string of anti-religious and foul language comments, I've disabled comments to this thread. The deleted comments are everything I have come to expect from gay activists and left wing liberals.

I welcome the sharing of opinions, even those opposed to mine. However, I reserve the right to delete any commentary as I see fit. Do not assume that I agree with or endorse any comments just because I allow them to remain.
